Step 1

Before starting to bleed air from the fuel system, make sure that the starter does not start the first time for this very reason. To do this, ask someone to turn the starter for a while (20-30 seconds), and watch the exhaust pipe yourself, paying attention to whether smoke comes out of it when starting the starter or not. If there is no smoke, this means that the fuel is not supplied to the cylinders due to air.

Step 2

Perform a visual inspection of the underbody of your vehicle. Often, air in the fuel system comes from air entering a mechanical or manual booster pump. Of course, there may be such harmless violations as loosening of the pump cover seal, damaged clamps or badly cracked fuel hoses.

Step 3

Diagnose the fuel pump by feeding it from an autonomous tank. This must be done in case you suddenly notice greasy oil spots or smudges from it on the bottom of your car, be sure that there is indeed air in the fuel system. Although, oddly enough, there may be no oil stains in places of damage.

Step 4

Next, connect the durit hoses to the places of the direct and return hoses. Fill the hoses with filtered fuel to prevent them from falling out of the container when the vehicle is running.

Step 5

Then proceed to remove air from the system. To do this, raise the container filled with fuel above the level of the fuel pump and remove the hose. Suck off the fuel by pouring it from one container to another. As soon as fuel starts to come out, put the hose on the pump fitting and tighten it with a hose clamp. Then unscrew the "return" bolt so that air can escape into this hole, under the influence of the siphon effect.
