The central locking in the car can work autonomously or together with the security system. In the first case, it will be necessary to close only the driver's door with a key, the rest will close automatically. When working together with the alarm, the door locks will be closed when the car is armed.

Necessary

  • Central locking kit
  • Wires
  • Drill
  • Side cutters
  • Door caps
  • Insulating tape

Instructions

Step 1

If the car is not equipped with a central locking system, it can be installed additionally.

Step 2

Remove the trim from all doors.

Step 3

Install electric drives in them. The central locking kit comes with a rod with a boom, which is connected to the standard door rod of the car. The drive itself is carefully drilled to the exposed metal part of the door.

Step 4

The wires from the locks are routed to the central locking unit. It is better to place the block itself under the dashboard in an inaccessible place.

Step 5

Put the door trim in place using the standard caps.

Step 6

The wires from the unit are connected to the car's wiring harness. Black wire (minus) is connected to ground, red (plus) to + 12V.

Step 7

The central locking can be connected to the alarm. Then, when arming or disarming the car with the alarm panel, the door locks will automatically close or open. To do this, you need to connect the wires coming from the central locking unit to the fuse box located in the hood.

Step 8

In some cars, the central locking is factory-installed, it works from the key fob. In this case, you can connect the lock to the alarm and make a step-by-step disarming / arming of the car. First, you will need to remove / arm the car with the remote control from the alarm system, then open / close the door locks with the remote control from the central lock.
