Instructions
Step 1
Installing a central locking on a car by yourself requires some technical skills, spatial thinking and the necessary tools. The installation of the lock parts involves the removal of the door trim, therefore it is necessary to have a set of plastic latches for fastening the trim, since these parts are disposable and must be replaced.
Step 2
With the door trim and dust shade removed, inspect the door and select a location to install the actuator. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the movement of the glass and the window mechanism. It may be necessary to manufacture a bracket for the correct spatial orientation of the actuator.
Step 3
The door actuator is fastened with self-tapping screws. After installation, you need to pair it with the door lock rod, which is responsible for raising and lowering the door locking button. The included rod has a clamp at one end to secure it to the lock rod and is specially designed to fit in place. The rod can be bent in order to reduce the length and / or change the plane of action. Check the progress of the mating parts together. The stroke should be smooth and light.
Step 4
Route the wire and secure it to the door with plastic ties. Route the wire through the corrugated tube, which is located between the door and the pillar in the hinge area and serves to protect the wire from chafing. Connect the wire to the alarm unit according to the attached diagram.
Step 5
After checking the functionality of the mechanical and electrical parts, assemble the door trim in the reverse order of disassembly.
