There are times when a car enthusiast forgets to turn off the headlights of a car left overnight. In the morning, the forgetful driver realizes that the car left on the alarm system has run out of battery. And the locks don't work, or the key is lost. What to do? Really go on foot? There is a simple solution to this problem.
Necessary
Car battery, wires with crocodile clips
Instructions
Step 1
To open a car with a dead battery, crawl under the car and remove the engine protection. This is necessary to free up access to the generator. Be sure to remember whether your car is on the handbrake or in gear, otherwise you risk getting into a difficult situation - a car that is not on the handbrake or gear rolls easily when jolted.
Step 2
Once the generator is accessible, take a serviceable battery. Locate the positive terminal on the vehicle's alternator and connect the battery cable with the plus sign to it. The battery minus wire should be connected to the vehicle body, that is, to the bare metal area. If you did everything correctly, then the car alarm will react to the key fob signal again, because you connected it to a third-party power source.
Step 3
Remove the discharged battery and charge it. Reinstall the engine guard and never forget to turn off your headlights or car lights again.
