If the injection engine of a VAZ car does not start well or works intermittently, it is time to check its fuel system, including the fuel pump. You can do this yourself.

Instructions
Step 1
The injection engine differs from the carburetor engine in an improved fuel supply system. It is carried out by direct injection of fuel fluid into the intake cylinder or manifold using injectors.
Step 2
Connect a tester or multimeter to the wire terminals and check the electrical circuit of the fuel pump for operation. If there is a signal, the wiring is good.
Step 3
Then remove the protective cap of the fuel pump union and place a container under it. Press down on the spool with a thin slotted screwdriver. If the gasoline flows in a thin stream, the pressure is low, if the pressure is good, then the pressure is normal.
Step 4
Unscrew the spool from the fuel rail union. Put the monometer hose on the fitting and tighten it with a clamp. This will check the pressure in the fuel system.
Step 5
Now turn on the ignition without starting the engine. The fuel pressure should be 2, 8-3, 2 bar, if it is below these figures, it is worth checking the supply line. Pay attention to the filter, which is located under the bottom of the body near the gas tank. Check the degree of contamination of the pump screen. If it is heavily soiled, remove the fuel pump from the tank, remove the mesh, rinse it.
Step 6
Check the tightness of the pipe that is connected from the pump to the fuel line. Measure the pressure in the fuel system again. If they are low, and all malfunctions are excluded, most likely, the gas pump has failed, which requires its replacement.
Step 7
Make sure that the fuel flows accurately to the injectors. Inspect the spark plugs; if they are dry, there is a problem. In this case, use a tester or probe to check the injector harness connectors. If there is no signal, look for a fault in the wiring.
Step 8
If the wiring is faulty, unscrew the rail mount and lift it under the intake manifold so that the injectors are visible. Switch on the ignition, if no jets of gasoline are visible in the nozzles of the injectors, they must be replaced.
