In relation to a car that has been in operation for several years, you can often hear the phrase that it is time to paint it in order to restore the original shine of the body. Unfortunately, time spares nothing, and over time, the paintwork loses its original gloss.
Necessary
- - polishing paste;
- - polishing machine or electric drill;
- - circles for polishing.
Instructions
Step 1
In cases where time has left its mark on the surface of the car body, it is not at all necessary to repaint its body. Currently, the use of modern technologies allows you to restore the original appearance of the machine without resorting to the help of workers from the paint shop.
Step 2
Even a new car cannot be considered an example of great gloss. The painted surface, which was subsequently polished, looks much more impressive.
Step 3
In addition, after polishing, a protective film is created on the surface of the car body, protecting it from further cracks, scratches and chips.
Step 4
Polishing work is carried out in the daytime, or in a well-lit room. Ideal on a warm sunny day. The surface of an exceptionally clean car body is polished. All dirt, and especially traces of bitumen stains, must be removed, and then the body must be degreased with an acetone-based solvent.
Step 5
On a suitably prepared body, the polish is applied with cotton swabs or special napkins. Applying polishing paste, rub it over the painted surface in circular movements, and after it acquires a matte shade, proceed to mechanical polishing using a polishing machine or electric drill. In no case do not use an angle grinder (grinder) - it has too high a speed, which is highly undesirable when carrying out this type of work.
