Necessary

  • - anti-creak material;
  • - instructions for the car;
  • - self-tapping screws;
  • - screwdriver.

Instructions

Step 1

Disassemble the door trim. To do this, remove the securing clips from the holes in the upholstery. Please note that the caps are attached not only to the so-called door card, but also to the metal body of the car.

Step 2

Take a store-bought anti-creak material and carefully glue the outlines of the door trim from the inside. The top of the doors, in the area adjacent to the windows, needs to be glued thicker in order to hold it better; on the sides, on the contrary, it is thinner, so that when the upholstery is installed, the anti-creak is not visible.

Step 3

Then glue the door clip holes with anti-squeak. In addition, process the clip attachment area as well. These steps must be taken to firmly fix the clip in the plastic.

Step 4

If the anti-squeak was not enough to achieve the result, take the rubber washers and install them so that they appear between the piston and its seat. This kind of gasket should help minimize noise.

Step 5

Check with parts stores for a variety of alternative clip models. Some of them do their job much better than their relatives.

Step 6

If all the methods did not lead to a solution to the problem, use a method that seems primitive, but has already proven its effectiveness and economic feasibility more than once. Prepare self-tapping screws to use to secure the door trim.

Step 7

When starting to fasten the inner parts of the doors with self-tapping screws, please note that they should be with different steps. Small pitch fasteners are used for metal, large - for wood. Do not screw in a lot of fasteners, it is enough to grab the door trim in the corners. Mark the location of the caps so as not to accidentally get caught with a screw. Otherwise, damage to the pistons is guaranteed. Also consider the length of the fasteners, as the thickness of the upholstery varies and there is a risk of damage to the glass.
