The trunk of the car should contain a set of tools and car accessories for unexpected repairs on the road. The first place among other things is occupied by a spare wheel and a jack.

The jack only serves to change wheels. Always unload the vehicle before jacking the vehicle. Never lift a loaded car. Place the machine on a level surface and block the wheels well. Never raise the car without blocking the wheels. If you jack up the front wheels, then the rear wheels must be blocked, and, conversely, when lifting the rear wheels, block the front ones. Before using the jack, engage first or reverse gear and apply the handbrake (in case of jacking up the front wheels). Install the jack only into the designated places so that its groove in the stop fits into the edge of the sill closer to the wheel to be replaced. Places for correct installation of the jack are marked with special stamps on the sills. If the car has side covers, remove them. To do this, press down on the edge and remove the overlays. Place bumper jacks as close to the wheel as possible, about 30 cm from the end of the bumper. The jack must be in an upright position relative to the point of contact with the body. If the proposed work requires placing the jack in a non-standard place, then it must be strong to support the weight of the car. Never place the tool so that the weight of the machine rests on anything that might bend or break. If you have any difficulty in choosing a place for the jack, install it so that it rests against the beam supporting the front suspension, the body or near the rear axle. Raise the machine with the jack smoothly, without sudden movements. If there are safety supports, place them in place, where the jack rests on the car. Raise them to the required height and lock them. Lower the jack to place the car on the supports.
