The face of any car, undoubtedly, is the hood, which, if the car owner wishes, can become an object of styling. For those who have good taste and draw well, airbrushing can be offered - a special painting technique associated with applying an original drawing to the body surface using an airbrush.
Step 2
Use an airbrush, which is a pneumatic paint applicator. Today you can buy paint of any color and shade, and the only problem is to be able to create a unique, memorable composition. But before you start drawing, decide on its theme, proportions, colors and style. Not always, a beautiful sketch depicted on a piece of paper will also look spectacular on the hood. To prevent this from happening, the drawing must correspond to the style of the car, correctly placed and kept in the appropriate color scheme. Unlike painting, where the spray gun must be kept at the same distance from the surface (25-30 mm), in airbrushing the position of the spray gun relative to the surface can change, including the angle of inclination.
Step 3
When applying the same type of paintings without noticeable transitions from contrasting spots to light shading, the pistol head should be kept 12-25 cm from the surface while maintaining the angle of inclination and distance throughout the entire process. But to obtain halftones and imperceptible transitions, the distance and angle of inclination must be changed. So, for example, for finishing like silk or moire, the pistol has to be removed from the surface by 1 meter.
Step 4
The next styling option is the installation of additional structural elements on the hood - spoilers, devices for creating additional downforce when the car is moving, emblems and logos similar to the famous deer on the hood of the old Volga. Replacement of the air intake is also possible.
