In the scooter gearbox, it is necessary to change the oil every 5000 km or once a season. Buy high-quality oil, then you will have to refill it much less often. Changing the oil is not particularly difficult.

It is necessary

gear oil with a viscosity of 75 W - 90, containers, keys, magnet, syringe, dropper tube, rags

Instructions

Step 1

Drain the used oil first. Before that, drive a little so that the oil heats up and all the suspensions that were at the bottom rise. Place the scooter on the center stand and clean and wash the bolts to prevent dirt from entering the gear case. Start the scooter and spin the rear wheel a little, this will shake the oil a little.

Step 2

Then unscrew the filler plug. The bolt is located at the rear of the engine on the left. Unscrew the drain plug, place a special container for drainage under it. The plug bolt is located at the back of the engine, on the bottom surface. The bolts are tight, so be careful not to rip the threads.

Step 3

Let the oil drain from the crankcase. Tilt the scooter in different directions to remove all liquid. Wipe the drain and filler openings dry. Screw in the drain bolt.

Step 4

Take a syringe and a tube, draw oil from the canister and pour it into the gearbox housing through the filler. Take a small diameter tube so that it freely goes through the narrow filler hole into the crankcase.

Step 5

The oil level will show the filler hole. If oil starts to leak from it, stop filling, the gearbox is full. Wipe everything dry and tighten the bolt.

Step 6

If you notice metal particles when draining the oil, flush the crankcase before refilling. Take diesel or gear oil and pour it into the empty crankcase as described above. Then wiggle your scooter so that the mixture wets the crankcase well inside, and drain into a separate container.

Step 7

Sometimes the metal is not immediately visible. Therefore, prepare the magnet in advance and after draining the oil, attach it to the bottom of the container with the old oil. After you pour the used oil into another container, metal particles will remain at the bottom.

Step 8

Finally, carefully check the tightness and tightness of the bolts.
