Instructions

Step 1

The first thing to do is when choosing a radio in a store, check its completeness. If the radio tape recorder is of a different brand than the one that you have now, then be sure to pay attention to the presence of an adapter complete with the connector of the radio tape recorder itself to a standard ISO connector - two wide two row contacts, on the radio tape recorder the connectors may be different, depending on the manufacturer (SONY, Kenwood, etc.). Check with the seller if additional adapters will be needed, telling him the brand, model and year of manufacture of your car, this, in particular, applies to foreign-made cars.

Step 2

Everything you need has been purchased, you can start replacing. Removal and installation is performed with the ignition off. You can remove the old radio tape recorder from the slot using special keys that were included with the radio tape recorder when purchased. The keys to the new radio tape recorder may not work, so remember where the box or the documentation for the old radio tape recorder is, the keys are most likely there. Remove the outer frame and bezel of the radio before inserting the keys. After inserting the keys from the sides of the radio tape recorder to the full length, pull towards you, bringing the keys together a little, the radio tape recorder will come out together with the keys.

Step 3

The floor is done. Do not rush to disconnect the wires, they can fall through the central panel, pull them together with an elastic band or a long wire that will remain outside, now they can be disconnected. Remember which wire was connected to which connector on the radio. Now remove the frame for installing the radio from the nest, it can simply be pressed by the petals that need to be bent, or screwed on with bolts or self-tapping screws (they must be carefully unscrewed).

Step 4

Prepare a new radio tape recorder, remove the installation frame from it and connect the adapter to the ISO connector. Having passed the connecting wires into the frame from the new radio tape recorder, we install it in the slot for the radio tape recorder, fixing it in the same way. Check with your hand that the frame is securely installed. Now you can start connecting the wires to the radio. Connect the ISO connector, antenna wire, additional wires if available. Antenna connectors are standard and have a corresponding icon next to them, as well as other connectors outside the ISO connector.

Step 5

After all the wires are connected, you need to check the connection. Attach the bezel to the radio, and insert it into the slot up to the middle of the case. Turn on the power of the radio, if the backlight is on, it means that the radio is receiving power. Turn on the radio function and tune into any radio station, after the start of broadcasting, listen to each speaker separately, they should all work. Receiving broadcasting also means that the antenna is working properly and is connected correctly. Then check the operation of the radio when playing sound from a disc and from a flash drive, if there is a USB connector. Now turn off the radio tape recorder, remove the front panel and with the effort of two hands applied on the sides of the front part, push the radio tape recorder until it clicks into the frame. Install the bezel and outer frame. Now you can fully enjoy high-quality sound.
