For those people who spend a lot of time driving, the car becomes not only a means of transportation, but also a second home. Therefore, avid car enthusiasts install radio tape recorders in their car to while away the time on the road listening to pleasant music. You can connect an external monitor to the radio tape recorder, which will allow you to watch your favorite movies.

It is necessary

  • - monitor;
  • - bolts;
  • - caps for bolts;
  • - drill;
  • - the wire;
  • - keys for the radio.

Instructions

Step 1

Find out if your car radio model supports video playback. If this function is not available, then connecting a monitor is not practical. It's easier to buy either a new DVD-enabled head unit or a portable car DVD player with a built-in monitor.

Step 2

Read the instruction manual for your radio carefully. Also inspect the box from the audio tape recorder, if you have one. Find the location of the external monitor connectors. They are usually located on the back of the radio case.

Step 3

Carefully remove the radio from the recess in the torpedo. To do this, use the included special keys or two pieces of thin and stiff wire. Be very careful not to scratch the front of the radio or the torpedo cover.

Step 4

Locate the paired cinch connectors. They should be yellow, white and red. Connect a wire to them. Make sure that the plugs are firmly seated in the connectors. Pay special attention to the wire. The clarity of the reproduced video depends on its quality, so you should not buy cheap Chinese products.

Step 5

Select the location where the monitor will be located. Please note that the monitor housing should not interfere with the driver's full view while driving. Carefully drill holes for the bolts that secure the housing.

Step 6

Find the hole through which the wires from the monitor will go to the radio. If you cannot find a suitable technical hole, then drill a new one.

Step 7

Install the monitor case and secure it carefully with the bolts. Close the hats with plugs. Carefully thread the wire through the hole. Connect the plugs of the wire to the connectors on the monitor.

Step 8

Reassemble everything in reverse order and install the radio tape recorder in place. Turn on for the first time and check the functionality of the connected monitor.

Step 9

If you do not want to engage in the connection yourself, then contact a specialized center.
