Step 1
The motorcycle engine usually does not require alterations. But power and ignition systems are often not satisfactory for motorcycle owners. To alter these systems, install electronic ignition from the VAZ-2106 on the Dnepr. Replace two standard carburetors with one from the same model of "Zhiguli". The technical characteristics of the motor will improve markedly. Install an electric starter on the engine if desired. Adjust the gearbox and you won't have problems with engine oil leaks.
Step 2
After the engine, go to the frame. Depending on your desires and capabilities, you can completely replace the motorcycle frame with a homemade one. Or simply weld on individual elements to give the Dnieper strength or beauty. If you want to extend the length of the motorcycle, correctly calculate and install the front and rear forks. The rear suspension should be slightly higher than the front suspension to make the ride on the converted unit smoother.
Step 3
The new paint job of the motorcycle depends on the selected frame and liner material. If you completely changed the frame, paint it the same color as the engine. Install a new, tuned exhaust pipe. In addition, you can install two or four tailpipes of any shape. Place plugs on the tips of the exhaust pipes so that the roar of the Dnieper is not too strong. Redesign the gas tank - a new one can be welded from the fragments of the tanks of other motorcycles.
Step 4
For a stylish motorcycle, the shape and color of the tank, saddle and wheels must be harmonious. Therefore, consider how you will color them. The wings can be clipped or, conversely, new, deeper ones can be welded. For wide and deep fenders, thicker Harley-style wheels will do. The front tire can be thinner and larger in diameter than the rear, but not vice versa.
Step 5
Take a saddle from some imported bike. If you want to make a new seat yourself, think about making it comfortable first and only secondarily stylish. The ideal saddle material is special leather that can be decorated with rivets. Bend the handlebars to match the style. Add various accessories as desired - wardrobe trunks, bags.
Step 6
Install new headlights and taillights. Get a good multi-speaker audio system. For long-distance travel, purchase and connect a radio station. The electrical circuit of a standard motorcycle is not designed for multiple consumers. Therefore, replace the battery with a more capacious one, and the generator with a more powerful one. Remove the old wiring and buy imported wires instead - this will increase the electrical safety of Dnipro.
