On VAZ cars, ignition problems often occur. That is why experienced motorists have developed several methods with which you can quickly and easily adjust the VAZ ignition. Since the adjustment can take a long time, quite often only specialists make it, but if you know how to set the correct ignition timing, you can easily do it yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
To adjust your ignition in the car, as well as to establish the correct direction of the advance angle before ignition, it is necessary to perform a number of sequential procedures.
Step 2
First, you need to disconnect the universal vacuum hose from the vacuum corrector from your motor. Then, for a more convenient check of the timing during ignition, you need to connect the positive terminal of the strobe to the positive terminal of your battery on the car.
Step 3
After that, you can start adjusting the ignition in the VAZ car by switching the "mass" clamp by connecting it to the negative terminal of the universal battery.
Step 4
In addition, it is imperative to remove the tip of the high-voltage wire strained device, which is fixed in one of the cylinder sockets on the distributor cover.
Step 5
Next, try as carefully as possible to insert your strobe sensor into the vacant socket under the cylinder, and connect it to the high-voltage wire from the first cylinder of the motor.
Step 6
Using the rubber plug from the clutch hatch, you can adjust the required ignition time in the car by starting the engine and directing a blinking stream of light from the strobe in the car to the special hatch for the clutch device.
Step 7
This flashing strobe light will produce a small mark on the engine flywheel that will visually appear to be a fixed point. With a perfectly correct setting of the ignition timing, this mark on your engine flywheel should be located between the middle division of the flywheel and its previous division. If the mark is not in the right place, then it will be necessary to slightly adjust the ignition timing by loosening all three nuts on the distributor mount for the ignition flywheel.
