The snowmobile license is officially called a category A tractor driver license. The latter also includes ATVs and ATVs. The license exam is taken at Gostekhnadzor. You can go through this procedure at the place of permanent or temporary registration or the location of the educational institution where you took the training course.
It is necessary
- - passport;
- - a receipt for payment of the state duty for the issuance of a certificate (in 2011, 900 rubles);
- - certificate of completion of training;
- - certificate of passing the driver's medical examination with open points 2 and 8;
- - 2 photos 3 x 4 cm on matte paper with a left corner;
- - if you are taking the exam outside your place of residence, a certificate from the State Technical Supervision of the region of your registration that the certificate was not issued and you were not deprived of it.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have a Category A driver's license open before January 1, 2000, obtaining a snowmobile license is purely formal. You just need to come to your department of Gostekhnadzor with a license and a passport and write a statement.
The rest will have to undergo training and pass the exam.
Step 2
You can also take training remotely. But in the absence of practical experience in driving a snowmobile, it is advisable to get it and at least work out the exercises that will have to be performed in the exam.
The exam includes theoretical and practical parts.
The first includes two tests: knowledge of traffic rules and safety when handling a snowmobile. The first test is not taken by holders of a driver's license of any category.
You need to answer 3-5 questions, making no more than one mistake.
Those who successfully pass the theoretical part are admitted to the practical one.
Step 3
During the practical part of the exam, you need to perform the "snake" exercise (driving along a winding route), then, stopping so that the snowmobile does not reach more than 15 cm to the stop line or touches it, in reverse, turn it into a conditional garage.
It is impossible to stop on the "snake"; when reversing, it is possible without shifting gears. It is also forbidden to touch the landmarks. On the "snake" between the latter there is a distance of 6 m, the dimensions of a conventional garage of 1 m exceed the dimensions of a snowmobile.
Upon successful completion of all exercises, the exam is passed.
