The amount of customs payments, which must be paid when importing a car from abroad, must be calculated based on the rate set by the Federal Customs Service. It directly depends on the cost of the car and its age.
Instructions
Step 1
Multiply the flat rate by the engine size if the imported vehicle is no more than 3 years old. Please note that there are different rates for cars of different prices. So for a vehicle, the cost of which does not exceed 325,000 rubles, the customs duty will be equal to 54% of the price, for cars from 325,000 to 650,000 the rate is 3.5 euros, which is charged for each cubic centimeter of engine displacement. For vehicles from 650,000 to 1,625,000 rubles, the rate will be 5.5 euros per cubic centimeter, for vehicles from 3,250,000 to 6,500,000 - 15 euros per cubic centimeter. And those cars, which cost more than 6,500,000 rubles, are subject to twenty euros per cubic centimeter.
Step 2
The total amount of the payment must be at least 48% of the value of the imported car. Based on this, to calculate the amount of the duty, you will need to multiply the required coefficient by the engine volume, then calculate 48% of the value of the vehicle. Compare both metrics and choose the largest one.
Step 3
Please note that for cars that are not more than 5 years old, the customs duty rate is set to the engine displacement link. Accordingly, if the volume of the engine in your car is up to 1,000 cm3, then the rate will be 1.5 euros, for engines from 1 001 to 1 500 the duty will be 1, 7, if 1 801 to 2 300 - 2, 7, from 1 501 to 1 800 - 2, 5, from 2,301 to 3,000 - 3. And for all cars with an engine capacity of more than 3,001 cm3, the tariff is 3, 6 euros. So, in order to calculate the duty, you need to multiply the engine volume of the imported car by the appropriate coefficient. Then convert the received amount into rubles.
Step 4
Calculate the customs duty based on the engine size if the car is more than 5 years old. With a volume of up to 1,000 cm3, you will need to pay 3 euros, if the volume is not more than 1,500, then 3, 2 euros, up to 1,800 - 3, 5, up to 2,300 - 4, 8, over 3,001 the duty is 5, 7.
