The brake force regulator ("sorcerer") is designed to regulate the pressure of the rear brakes. It distributes the load on the rear and front wheels evenly, without wheel blocking. So how do you adjust the "sorcerer" on the car?
It is necessary
probe, set of keys
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to check how the brakes work on your car. To do this, you will need the help of a friend to keep track of the trajectory of your car and how it brakes.
Step 2
Accelerate to 80 km / h and brake sharply. Then ask a friend about how the wheels responded to braking, all of them skidding or just the front ones. If only the front brakes were braking, it is necessary to adjust the "sorcerer", since it distributes the load on the wheels evenly so that they all brake at the same time
Step 3
Then find a flat, small area for your car to climb underneath. In winter, a track with rolled snow is ideal for this, and in summer - a dirt, flat track.
Step 4
Take the necessary bolting tools with you and lie down alongside your car with your head near the rear wheel. Check the gap between the "sorcerer" caliper and the plate with a probe, this is done in order to make it easier to track the work of the brakes from the gap
Step 5
Loosen the two bolts by 13 and if you need to make the moment when the brakes are activated earlier, then bring the "sorcerer" bracket closer to this plate and tighten the bolts, but do not forget that the plate is quite elastic and a considerable effort must be applied
Step 6
Then again accelerate and brake, if the wheels still brake unevenly, then the gap between the "sorcerer" bracket and the plate should be made even smaller. And if the braking of the car occurs with an equal load on the front and rear wheels, then the adjustment of the "sorcerer" was successful and you have achieved the desired result. But do not forget that the adjustment of the braking forces must be done periodically.
