With the help of GPS navigation, it is easy to find your way even in an unfamiliar place. To get to the desired object, you can also use the navigator's voice prompts. But, unfortunately, it is not always Russified. To solve this problem, you need a communicator, internet and computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the firmware for the navigator from the official website of the model manufacturer. There, select the appropriate device type and then download the firmware file. Then on your computer, unzip it to any folder. Look for a file called Update.txt and read it carefully. Sew the device in accordance with this instruction.
Step 2
To Russify the navigator, on the page https://e-trex.narod.ru/download.htm find the Russification file that is suitable for your model and download it to your computer. The file called readme.txt contains the corresponding instruction that you need to study. Be sure to fully charge the navigator batteries and insert them into the device, then turn on the device and connect it to the computer using a cable.
Step 3
Then go to the folder where you previously unpacked the zipped files and run update.exe. A window will appear in the list of which you must select your COM port. Then click the Update button. Confirm your choice by clicking "Ok". Russification of the navigator will take a few minutes.
Step 4
In the event that an error occurs, do the following. First, in the program settings, check if you have specified the correct port. You may have confused the COM port and USB. Please provide the correct option. And the second - an inscription appeared in the program, notifying that the navigator was not found, and at the same time the device itself does not respond. In this case, specify the appropriate interface type in the settings of the device itself.
Step 5
After you have corrected possible errors, turn off the device again - turn on the device and connect it to the computer. Now you need to try the Russification process again. If you suddenly get a Software Missing error, try using a different port for the connection.
Step 6
Unpack the archive that you downloaded in the second step into the folder containing the updater.exe file. In it you will see a new file, the format of which is *.rgn. It needs to be renamed and given the name 016901000360. Now it's time to start the updater file, after which you need to repeat the third step, which was described earlier. And finally, the final stage. Go to the device menu, select the "Settings" option, then "Select languages". Now install the Russian language. Your navigator is Russified.
