Step 1
Take initially a sheet of paper and a pair of compasses and make a circle exactly 16 millimeters in diameter so that the standard acoustics can fit the future podium. After that, tape the made template to a thick sheet of plywood with tape. To make a podium for a car with pockets, also make rings for your speaker out of plywood.
Step 2
After that, make a special tilt of the ring so that the speakers can be located on different axes. If this is not provided, the sound from different speakers will be suppressed by each other. For good sound, lower the top edge of the ring 4 centimeters and raise the bottom edge 8 centimeters. Remove the trim from the door and try on the location of the future podium. Then start assembling them into a structure.
Step 3
Drill small indentations for the caps of the self-tapping screws. This is done for aesthetic purposes. After you assemble the parts and lightly attach the speaker to the manufactured ring, try on the structure again in order to eliminate the revealed errors in time. In this case, check the bolt that adjusts the drive cable and the door handle.
Step 4
Prepare the shape for the ring and speaker using the foam. Initially spray the surface of the plywood with water and squeeze some foam onto it. Also moisten the sawdust formed during sawing with water and mix with foam with a spatula. Next, put the resulting mixture on the structure and wait until it begins to dry.
Step 5
Place the podiums and uniform in a warm place and wait until the structure is completely dry. After that, cut off the dried foam, which began to protrude beyond the edges, with a knife, close up the holes formed during cutting. Next, trim the podium with special material.
