Car headlights are the most common vehicle crashes. But it so happens that the owner of the car simply has a desire to change the headlights to new or improved ones. In this case, you need to know certain nuances associated with the headlamp replacement procedure.
Necessary
Hammer, sealant, Phillips screwdriver and new headlamp glass
Instructions
Step 1
First, disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
Step 2
Then, tightening the lock with a screwdriver, remove the hydrocorrector from the hole in the rear wall of the headlamp unit. Then it is necessary to disconnect all wires suitable for the headlamp unit and get the lamps.
Step 3
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three self-tapping screws that secure the headlight unit to the car body. Then you need to remove the headlight unit itself from the car.
Step 4
Then, using a hammer and a screwdriver, break the headlight glass from the inside of the housing and carefully remove the fragments and remnants of the old sealant.
Step 5
Then you can plant a new headlamp glass on the sealant, and then let it dry. Apply the sealant evenly, leaving no gaps (to prevent dust from entering the headlight and fogging it up).
Step 6
After the sealant has completely dried, you can assemble the headlamp in the reverse order.
