Step 2

First of all, disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery, then remove the trunk lining. Unscrew the bolts and nuts securing the bumper on both sides, and then disconnect the harness block from the fog lamp connector.

Step 3

After that, unscrew one bolt on the right and on the left for attaching the protective shields to the bumper and the bolts securing the bumper to the rear fenders. Next, remove the piston rods of the lower part of the bumper and remove the pistons from the hole in the body brackets.

Then proceed with the removal of the taillights. As with the bottom of the bumper, remove the piston rods (left and right) from the top and remove the pistons from the holes in the body brackets. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the license plate lights, then, squeezing the tendrils of the plastic retainer, remove it from the holder located on the body. Unscrew the two nuts securing the fog lamp to the bumper and remove the lamp along with its edging.

Step 5

Now remove the screws securing the license plate lights (two screws on each side) and remove the lights. Use a screwdriver to pry up the plastic holders and remove them. There are 4 of them in the upper part. If there are broken ones, replace them.

Step 6

Also, using a screwdriver, pry and remove the two clips located to the right and left of the energy absorbing elements of the bumper, and remove them. Unscrew the nuts securing the bumper bar and remove the bar. After that, unscrew the bolts securing the racks of the timber (two on the left and two on the right) and remove the racks.
