To clean the fuel system from contaminants formed during the operation of the car, the chemical industry has developed various fuel additives that are poured into the gas tank before refueling the car at the gas station. This method allows you to clean the entire fuel supply system without removing anything from the engine, including the injectors.

Necessary

  • - carburetor cleaner - 1 aerosol pack,
  • - rubber or silicone tube - 0.5 m,
  • - two pieces of insulated wire - 2m,
  • - electrical connector for the injector,
  • - light bulb 21 St. - 1 PC.,
  • - push button switch - 1 pc.

Instructions

Step 1

Despite the fact that the method of cleaning the engine power system by adding additives to the fuel is easy to use, this technology is not able to fully restore the injectors' performance.

Step 2

For better cleaning of the injectors, they must be removed from the engine and placed in some kind of bath or other suitable container.

Step 3

In preparation for the cleaning process, an electrical connector is connected to the nozzle with two wires, which are connected to the battery through a light bulb and a switch connected in series in the circuit.

Step 4

The nozzle is then connected via a tube to the aerosol carburetor cleaner. This connection must be treated very meticulously, because the balloon is filled with a poisonous liquid under pressure (of the order of two atmospheres) and breaking the tube is extremely undesirable and hazardous to health.

Step 5

Further, by injecting a carburetor cleaner into the nozzle and periodically pressing the switch button, thereby simulating its operation, the nozzle atomizer is cleaned.

Step 6

Having visually made sure that a clear jet is formed at the exit of the part to be cleaned, they start cleaning the next nozzle.

Step 7

After cleaning the nozzles of all existing injectors, reinstall them into the engine. This method of cleaning the power supply system devices is very effective; it is used by many motorists for self-cleaning the nozzles of injection engines.
