  • - guide pin M12x1, 25, 80 mm long (with a sawed slot for a screwdriver).

Instructions

Step 1

Disconnect the lead from the negative battery terminal. Then you need to remove the splash shield of the power unit (otherwise called "engine protection"), if you have one installed.

Step 2

Using a Phillips screwdriver on each side of the engine guard, unscrew the 2 self-tapping screws for attaching the mudguards to the mudguard of the engine compartment with a Phillips screwdriver. Then, using the "10" head, unscrew the 2 bolts of the rear protection mounting (one on each side). Now, holding the engine protection, unscrew the 5 nuts of the front mounting with the head on "10". Remove protection.

Step 3

Remove the right engine compartment mudguard. To do this, use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the self-tapping screw securing the shield to the wheel arch liner. Using the "Torx T-30" wrench, unscrew the 2 self-tapping screws securing the guard to the body. Remove the mudguard.

Step 4

Drain the transmission oil. It is better to do this operation on a warmed-up gearbox. Place a container with a volume of at least 3.5 liters under the drain hole and unscrew the drain plug with a spanner wrench or head on "17". After the oil has been drained, screw the plug back on.

Step 5

Proceed to remove the air filter. Remove the wires from the engine management system to the MAF sensor. Then loosen the fastening clamp and remove the air supply hose to the throttle assembly from the mass air flow sensor branch pipe. Then disconnect the air intake sleeve from the fitting on the bottom of the air filter housing. If you have new rubber feet for the air filter, take a knife and cut off the old feet holding the filter. If there are no new supports, then carefully remove the supports from the attachment points (3 pieces).

Step 6

The next step is to remove the starter. With the head on "13", unscrew the nut securing the starter wire tip connected to the positive terminal of the battery and remove the wire tip from the contact bolt. Then disconnect the control wire of the traction relay (or the solenoid relay) by hand and unscrew the two nuts securing the starter with the head on "15". Remove the starter.

Step 7

Disconnect the clutch release cable from the clutch release fork and bracket on the transmission. In the engine compartment, pulling the clutch cable forward, remove the leash with the cable from the groove in the clutch release fork. Then, using a "17" wrench, unscrew the nut securing the front end of the cable sheath to the bracket on the gearbox by several turns, holding the sheath by the hexagon with another wrench of the same size. Now remove the cable end from the bracket on the gearbox.

Step 8

Locate the reversing light switch connector on the transmission and disconnect the wires from it. Then disconnect the engine control wires from the speed sensor.

Step 9

Using the "10" head, unscrew the three bolts securing the lower clutch housing cover and remove it.

Step 10

Go to the removal of the front wheel drives. Unscrew the front hub bearing nut from the two front wheels using the "30" head. Hang up the front of the car using two jacks and remove the front wheels with a standard wheel wrench or head on "17".

Step 11

Using a "17" spanner wrench, unscrew the 2 bolts securing the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Move the steering knuckle with the strut to the side and remove the shank of the outer CV joint housing from the hub. Position the actuator on a brace and use a mounting spudger to push the inner drive pivot housing out of the transmission and remove it. Perform the same operations for the second drive.

Step 12

Loosen the nut of the clamping bolt of the clamp of fastening of the control rod to the shank of the hinge of the gear selector rod with a "13" spanner wrench. Using a slotted screwdriver, unclench the clamp and slide it along the rod. Now remove the control rod from the gear selector rod pivot shank.

Step 13

Using the head on "17" and the head on "19", unscrew the two fastening bolts of the reaction rod bracket and remove the bracket with the rod from the gearbox.

Step 14

Install the adjustable stop under the engine oil pan. Take the head on "15" with an extension and loosen the nut of the upper tie of the support cushion. At the bottom of the car, with the head on "17" with an extension, unscrew the nut securing the left engine support to the gearbox bracket and remove the washer. Now with the head on "13" with an extension, unscrew the 2 bolts securing the support to the body and remove it.

Step 15

Now, with the head on "13", unscrew the nut that secures the wiring harness bracket and move the wiring harness bracket away from the gearbox.

Step 16

Take the head on "19" and unscrew the 4 bolts securing the clutch housing to the cylinder block. Move the gearbox away from the engine, removing the input shaft of the gearbox from the hub of the clutch disc, and remove the gearbox.

Transmission installation is carried out in reverse order.
