The heater, installed on the car seat, is capable of warming up the “seat” up to + 30 ° C within a few seconds. At the same time, the heating system does not consume much energy - the power of the equipment is comparable to the load on the battery when the side lights are on. How can you equip heating in your VAZ car, in which such a system is not provided?

Installing the cape

This is the easiest way to equip a heater. The thermal cape is a thick, dense fabric with built-in heating elements. Such a product is simply superimposed on the chair, fixed by means of straps. Onboard electricity is connected through the cigarette lighter. Some manufacturers complete the cape with a massager, which leads to its rise in price. Nevertheless, such a product does not completely warm up the seat (only the surface), moreover, the cape does not add aesthetics to the car interior. Therefore, many car enthusiasts prefer to install a full version of the seat heater.

Installing a heater on a VAZ seat

It is inconvenient to mount the heater on the installed seat, so it is better to remove it. To do this, unscrew four bolts (or screws, but then you will need a powerful screwdriver) with the head on "10". Next, you need to remove the back trim. To do this, remove the head restraint caps and unfold the trim hooks. Now install the heating elements in the back, securing them with double-sided tape so that they do not slip. Pull the heater over to the seat and secure with tape as well. It remains to secure the trim back by pulling the electrical wires through the bottom of the seat.

The next step is to connect the heating system to the vehicle's electrical wiring. The negative terminal (there is neither plus nor minus on the heater terminals, so take any of the two wires) connect to the metal part of the car body. You can screw the wire to the seat mounting bolts. The positive wire is best connected via a relay. A device is suitable (it must be purchased separately) through which, for example, a rear window heating relay is connected. Connect the coil of the purchased relay through a separately installed switch to any wiring outlet that produces 12 volts after the first turn of the key in the ignition lock.

It is worth noting that some cars produced by AvtoVAZ already have a switch for performing the seat heating function (VAZ-2110); it remains only to bring the wires to the contacts. If you have a "classic", then you will have to install the switch yourself in the most suitable (in your opinion) place.
