Car glass tinting has long become a real stumbling block between motorists and the road inspection. So after all - is it possible to tint the glass or not? And if so, to whom and how much?
Instructions
Step 1
Tint your car windows according to publicly available guidelines. The law allows tinting that does not exceed the established norms: at least 70% of the light transmission for the windshield and at least 75% for the front side windows. The rest of the glass can be darkened at your own discretion.
Step 2
Get ready to pay a fine if you decide to flout the rules. And a violation, if it is recorded, threatens with a warning or a fine, but if the driver does not correct it within 24 hours, the fine increases.
Step 3
There is a permit for tinted car windows. But it is issued only for special-purpose vehicles - those that are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, state authorities provide transport services (transport civil servants), are used to carry out operational-search activities, to carry out cash collection.
Step 4
Contact the traffic police if, for example, your car belongs to a legal entity that does not use the services of collectors, but takes money to the bank on its own, but in practice, the issuance of permits for private cars is extremely rare. In the event that the traffic police deem necessary additional tinting of your car's glass, they will issue a permit.
Step 5
This permission in no way cancels the norms of light transmission established by the State Standard of Russia - tinting should not violate the prescribed norms, and the installation of mirror glasses is also prohibited.
