Modern technologies to protect vehicles from theft have also touched on motorcycles. A special security system can be installed on the bike, which will notify the owner of a burglary according to the principle of an automobile - siren or through a two-way communication channel.

It is necessary

  • - alarm;
  • - side cutters;
  • - Screwdriver Set;
  • - electrical tape.

Instructions

Step 1

Buy an alarm that is designed to be mounted on motor vehicles. These models include: StarLine Moto V62 (V5, V7), Pandora DXL 4200, Spyball 6527 and others. The main difference between such alarms is the presence of a tilt and displacement level sensor in them. After all, it is no secret that when stolen, motorcycles are simply rolled back to another place or rolled into a car. If there is an alarm on such a bike, when the position level changes, the siren will sound. And if a system with two-way communication is installed, the owner of the motorcycle will receive a message or a call to his mobile phone with a notification about the system being triggered.

Step 2

Install the alarm unit and siren. Since the unit itself is small, it can be hidden under the seat or under the front fender. In any case, it should be a clean, dry place, but difficult to reach quickly. It is better to put a siren under the wing, there it is better heard. Choose a self-contained siren that will work even if your motorcycle's battery runs out or is disconnected. Connect the alarm wires to the standard harness according to the attached diagram.

Step 3

Install additional mechanical interlocks. Such locks are also produced specifically for motor vehicles. A special clutch blocks the steering wheel and it becomes difficult to roll the motorcycle to another place.
