Gazelle is an industrial vehicle, therefore it is very often subjected to mechanical stress, due to which minor breakdowns can occur. Mirrors are an example. To fix the Gazelle mirror, you need to disassemble it. But many car owners have problems with this procedure.

It is necessary

  • - plastic or rubber screwdriver;
  • - cotton gloves;
  • - crosshead screwdriver.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the mirror before removing. Clean the swivel mechanism carefully. Dust and road dirt are clogged into it, which interfere with clearly adjusting the position of the mirror. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery if the mirrors have turn signals or an electric adjustment mechanism. This is necessary in order to de-energize the on-board power supply system and avoid short circuits.

Step 2

Remove the plugs from the mirror mount. Find all the bolts that secure the mirror leg to the door. Unscrew them carefully, noting the location of each. When unscrewing, carefully hold the mirror so as not to accidentally drop it. Having completely unscrewed the mount, pull the mirror body slightly towards you to pull out some of the wiring. Find the block and disconnect it. Secure the wire coming from the hole in the door with tape from the outside so that it does not fall inside.

Step 3

Turn the mirror right side down. Carefully remove the caps covering the bolt heads. On older versions, there are four of them, and on newer versions - 5. Note that the lower bolts are somewhat shorter. Therefore, do not mix them up when reassembling. Carefully remove the turn signal cover using a little effort. Turn the case over. Remove the plastic trim.

Step 4

Gently pry the mirror itself with a plastic or rubber screwdriver. It is secured with latches. Using a screwdriver, gently pry the mirror plate on each side until it comes out of the grooves. This procedure is best done with cotton gloves. Remove the mirror from the case. There may be a heating wire attached to its back, so do not jerk violently to avoid breaking it. After completing the necessary repairs, reassemble the mirror in the reverse order and reinstall it in its original place.
