The sound system is an integral part of a modern car. But it cannot be complete without the high-quality bass that the subwoofer reproduces. But a "sub" with an amplifier is almost more expensive than the entire system put together. Therefore, you can assemble it with your own hands.

Instructions

Step 1

First, choose a speaker for the future subwoofer. Please note that price does not always mean quality. Pay attention to specifications and size.

Step 2

Now we need to deal with the corps of the future "saba". The case model is a "closed box" with a bass reflex.

Download the software to your personal computer JBL SpeakerShop or similar. Open the tab for calculating the parameters in the upper left corner and indicate the dimensions of the trunk, the characteristics of the speaker for the subwoofer (full quality factor Qts, resonant frequency Fs, equivalent volume Vas).

Step 3

Mark and cut out the plywood bottoms of the subwoofer with a jigsaw. And roll the cylindrical structure from a sheet of fiberboard. The case will turn out to be quite durable. To simplify the "twisting" of the fiberboard sheet, first steam it, and then iron it through cheesecloth and roll it up.

Step 4

After you have rolled the fiberboard using PVA, glue the plywood bottoms. For higher strength, additionally "target" with a construction stapler.

Step 5

It is necessary to make the housing sealed. Take a sealant and seal all crevices. Let dry.

Step 6

On one side, make a hole for the speaker, on the other side - holes for wires and a bass reflex pipe. Install the speaker, secure it, seal the slots with sealant. Install the phase inverter and run the wires from the speaker to the output.

Step 7

Cover the body with carpet and glue it with silicone glue. Make sure the housing is sealed. Turn on the subwoofer and check if it works. Do not expect high-quality sound right away, as professional setup and connection of the amplifier is required.
