No one is safe from a flat tire on your trip. The main thing is to notice it in time and prevent the rubber on the wheel from getting jammed. After all, every self-respecting motorist has a spare wheel and a tool for installing it. But first you need to remove the punctured wheel, and for this, unscrew the fastening bolts.

- - balloon wrench.
Instructions
Step 1
Before starting work, secure the car, secure it from moving forward / backward. To do this, engage a low gear, put the machine on the handbrake and install two corners - the anti-rollback - under the front and under the rear wheel. Do this so that one prevents the vehicle from moving forward and the other backward.
Step 2
Place the jack in a place closer to the wheel you want to remove. Raise the machine slightly until the jack is loaded.
Using a wheel wrench, start unscrewing the bolts by turning them 1/2 -1 turn.
Step 3
Raise the car with a jack to such a level that there will be a free space of 3-5 cm between the wheel and the surface where the car is standing. After that, unscrew all the wheel bolts to the end. Remove the wheel.
Step 4
The work does not always go smoothly, sometimes unforeseen difficulties arise - the wheel bolts do not unscrew. There may be several reasons for this:
- excessive tightening of the bolts when installing the wheel;
- the appearance of corrosion on the thread of the bolt or wheel hub;
- use for fastening non-standard bolts.
What to do in this case?
Step 5
The most reliable thing is to entrust the work to specialists. Take pity on your strength and nerves, and if some bolt does not want to loosen, put the removed bolts back in place and go to the service station.
Step 6
If you are used to overcoming the difficulties that have arisen on your own, try using several techniques for unscrewing the "naughty" bolts.
Reception one: moisten the bolts with penetrating grease WD-40 or kerosene, brake fluid. To do this, soak a rag with them and place them on the bolts. Let it sit for a while and try to break the bolt by swinging, i.e. turning it one way or the other. The key handle can be lengthened, thereby increasing the torque.
Reception two: heat the bolts. It is better to do this with a gas burner. Before heating, tap the bolt with a hammer. Try to unscrew the heated bolts.
Reception three: when everything has been tried, and the bolt remains in place, and its head has already been badly damaged, weld a piece of pipe or a nut of a larger diameter to it.
Step 7
If it becomes necessary to change a wheel during a trip (puncture of the camera, tire breakdown, etc.), and the wheel bolts do not unscrew, there are 2 ways to get out of this situation without serious losses:
- Call a tow truck, which will take your car to the nearest service station, where it will have the necessary repairs.
- Pump up the wheel with an electric pump and start driving. Repeat this step more than once (as the tire pressure drops) until you reach the service station.
