Windshield fogging from the inside during the cold season is usually associated with a weak air flow entering the passenger compartment through the body ventilation system. The fault for the occurrence of such a problem lies entirely with the excessively dirty cabin air filter.

Necessary

  • 13 mm spanner,
  • socket wrench 10 mm,
  • screwdrivers.

Instructions

Step 1

To replace the cabin air filter in a VAZ-2110 car, you must first dismantle the brush holders together with the wipers (position No. 1 in the figure). Use a 13 mm wrench to achieve this.

Step 2

Then the plastic front grill is removed (item number 2 in the figure). Self-tapping screws, decorated with plastic plugs, which are also removed with a screwdriver, are pre-unscrewed with a screwdriver.

Step 3

Further, using a 10 mm socket wrench, two nuts are unscrewed, securing the plastic cover, which subsequently must also be removed. After the dismantling of these parts, it becomes possible to see a rectangular hole in the air intake panel, through which the air filter of the cabin ventilation system is replaced.

Step 4

The old, clogged filter is removed by hand, due to the fact that the manufacturers did not provide any fasteners for it. Instead of the removed accessory, a new filter element is installed.

Step 5

After replacing all previously dismantled parts in place, the procedure for replacing the air filter of the VAZ-2110 passenger compartment can be considered complete.
