The filter in the passenger compartment is designed to clean the air that enters the passenger compartment from dust, soot and other substances. If you notice a decrease in the amount of air, replace the cabin filter.
It is necessary
13 socket wrench, star head, new cabin filter, WD-40 cleaner, piece of cloth or rags, lithium grease
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the necessary tools: a 13 socket wrench and an asterisk head. You will also need a new cabin filter, WD-40 cleaner, a piece of cloth or rags, and lithium grease. After that, dismantle the wipers and protective panels.
Step 2
Open the hood and carefully lift the covers, with which the wiper leashes are fastened. Take the socket wrench in your hands and unscrew the nuts, having previously processed the mount with the WD-40 cleaner, because the fastener could sour and it will not be easy to unscrew it. Crawl with the fingers of your right hand under the leash, which is in the area of attachment, then gently pull it off the axis, at the same time, carefully press on the hinge with your left hand. In this way, remove the wiper leash.
Step 3
Remove the screws that secure the panels on top of the air filter. Remove them together with the rail that secures them to the windshield by pulling the panels down along the windshield. Separate them and rinse thoroughly, because dirt can accumulate in the grooves, which will further interfere with proper installation.
Step 4
Clean the box containing the filter. At the top of the box there is a latch, unfastening which, take out the old filter. Remove all dust with a piece of cloth and replace with a new filter. To do this, first install the lower part, then start winding the upper part into the box and press the latch.
Step 5
Install the guide, making sure that it is carefully fitted along its entire length. Secure the panels by snapping them from the corner of the windshield towards the center. Check for gaps and tighten the screws. After that, lubricate the wiper shafts with grease and put the leashes on the axles. Place the wipers in the desired position and tighten the nuts. Close the fasteners with the lid and carefully lower the hood.
