Quite often, after repairing the engine or gearbox, especially after replacing the clutch, the clutch pedal travel needs to be re-adjusted. The work is simple and does not take much time from the car owner.
Necessary
- 10 mm spanner - 2 pcs.,
- ruler.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, you need to find a clutch adjusting unit, which is located directly on the gearbox, and consists of a tip, an adjusting nut and a lock nut, as well as a leash with a lock.
Step 2
- unscrew the lock nut of the clutch adjusting unit by a few turns, - then it is necessary, depending on the purpose (to lengthen or shorten the thrust), to reduce the pedal free travel, unscrew the adjusting nut by several turns:
- to increase the free play - tighten the adjusting nut.
Step 3
Then check the clutch pedal travel without fail. If necessary, correct again.
