Insufficient fluid circulation in the heating system of VAZ vehicles reduces the efficiency of the heater by about 40%. A slight modification of the VAZ heating system can significantly improve the operation of the stove and ensure the flow of hot air into the passenger compartment at any ambient temperature.
Necessary
- - additional electric pump;
- - additional S-shaped hoses;
- - normally open relay.
Instructions
Step 1
Locate the original ignition coil mounting studs on the back of the battery shelf. Install an additional electric pump from the GAZelle on these pins so that the pump motor is at the bottom. Drain the coolant from the engine block.
Step 2
From the outlet pipe of the cylinder head, remove the pipeline responsible for supplying the coolant to the heater, and connect it to the horizontal pipe of the installed electric pump. The length of the fluid supply hose allows this to be done.
Step 3
Take two S-shaped hoses connecting the tap and the radiator of the stove in the VAZ-2108 heating system. Make one of these two hoses and connect it at one end to the vertical branch pipe of the installed electric pump. Connect the other end of the resulting hose to the block head instead of the previously removed standard hose.
Step 4
Take a relay with normally open contacts (for example, a VAZ-2105 or VAZ-2108 starter relay) along with its mounting bracket. Close contacts # 30 and # 86 with a jumper. Locate the recirculation valve with two matching hoses on the front panel of the engine compartment.
Step 5
Disconnect 2 wires from this valve: one white (blue), the other yellow with a blue stripe. Connect the first wire to the relay, to terminal # 85. Connect the second wire to the wire of the previously installed electric pump. Fill the engine with coolant.
Step 6
Alternatively, you can connect an additional electric pump not to the recirculation valve, but directly to the heater electric fan. Regardless of the version chosen, this scheme will ensure a high temperature in the cabin at any engine speed. The engine temperature does not change. The glass withstands the increased temperature of the air emanating from the deflectors.
