Step 1
Make sure that the antenna is in close contact with the surface of the car. The quality of the signal depends on this. Some materials that are used for the manufacture of elements of the car body or are used to cover it are weak conductors, so installing an antenna on them will reduce the quality of its performance. One of these materials can be called carbon.
Step 2
Install the antenna on the roof of your car. This will make it possible to achieve the most stable signal reception - the maximum rise above the ground is of great importance for the effective operation of this device. In addition, in this position, the antenna remains stable when driving even at high speeds. Attaching the antenna to the hood or trunk will reduce the performance of the antenna, as well as installing it outside the tide.

Avoid electrical interference. They can appear if the antenna itself or its cable is located too close to various electrical appliances, the ignition system and other equipment.

Protect the antenna contacts from oxidation. This can be done using silicone sealant. Do not use plastic covers - over time, condensation will begin to accumulate under their surface, which can lead to antenna failure.

Hide the cable leading to the antenna, in the passenger compartment or in the body, under the trim. The shorter the open section of the cable outside the machine, the better the signal will be.

Pay attention to the position of the antenna - it must be strictly vertical. So its radio emission will be directed only parallel to the ground, and not upward or towards the driver and passengers. Tilting this unit for decorative purposes may affect the signal quality. The closer the antenna is to the horizontal position, the more chances that it will be completely useless.
