If plastic windows were installed in a new house, the size of the sashes was incorrectly selected, or the installation was not carried out professionally enough, very soon you can notice that there is blowing from the window, and condensation is collecting on the glass. In this case, you can invite an experienced craftsman from the company, or you can try to adjust the glass unit yourself.

Necessary

  • - double-glazed window;
  • - crosshead screwdriver;
  • - L-shaped hex key 4 mm;
  • - a special key for adjusting the locking pins.

Instructions

Step 1

Remove the decorative caps from the top and bottom hinge screws. Using a 4 mm L-shaped hex key, adjust the screws to move the sash or change the level of pressure of the sash to the frame.

Step 2

If the sash has sagged and is difficult to close and open, adjust the lower hinge up or down. In this case, the lower corner of the sash will respectively rise or fall, if necessary, raise or lower the entire sash as a whole.

Step 3

To move the sash to the left or right, adjust the lower hinge to the right and left.

Step 4

In order to press the lower corner of the sash to the frame, move the two screws of the lower hinge forward. Likewise, if you want to move the corner away from the frame, move the screws back.

Step 5

If you have a swing-out sash (opens both from right to left and from top to bottom), adjust the degree of pressure of the upper corner of the sash to the frame by adjusting the scissors back and forth. If necessary, adjusting the scissors left-right, move the upper part of the sash left-right.

Step 6

If it is necessary to adjust a double-glazed window with a pivot sash (opens in the classic way), in order to press the upper corner of the sash to the frame, move the upper hinge forward. Likewise, while sliding the top loop back, decrease the pressure. To move the top of the sash to the left or right, change the position of the top screw to the right or left.

Step 7

Using a special key, adjust the sash at the location of the locking pins in order to press in or out the sash in these places.

Step 8

If the sash hangs on the lower hinge and the folded-out scissors as a result of improper operation, perform the following sequence of actions. Close the window, then push the folded edge perpendicular to the surface so that the top corner approaches the hinge. Then press down on the locking lever (located next to the handle) and at the same time rotate the handle to the horizontal position. If you have done everything correctly, and the scissors on the frame and sash are connected, release the locking lever.
