Lighting devices are a necessary element of any car. Thanks to the headlights, it becomes possible to move even in the dark. Today, in addition to the main headlights, additional fluorescent lamps are installed on cars, which improve visibility when driving in the daytime. It is not difficult to insert them.
Necessary
- - ruler;
- - mounting angles;
- - clamp;
- - double sided tape.
Instructions
Step 1
Before inserting fluorescent lamps, take measurements to determine where they will be installed. It should be at a height of 350-1500 mm from the surface level. In this case, the distance from the side of the car to the headlight must be at least 400 mm. As for the distance between the headlights themselves, it should not be less than 600 mm.
Step 2
After determining the location, install the headlight mounting brackets under the bumper or cut them into the plug. In the first case, screw the lamp bracket to the bumper, and in the second, make holes for the lamps in the plug previously removed and cleaned from dirt, and cut out a horizontal bar from its back side. Now you can screw the mounting brackets to the lamp bracket, and then screw it to the plug.
Step 3
Now open the hood and secure the fluorescent lamp control unit. It is best if it is located as close to the battery as possible. To secure it, you can use double-sided tape or wrap the block with clamps. You can also make a homemade bracket for the control unit using the mounting angles. After that, if the unit is installed next to the left headlight, run the cable along the edge of the body to the right or vice versa.
Step 4
After the fluorescent lamp is inserted and the control unit is secured, you need to connect it. To do this, connect the black wire of the block to the vehicle ground. Connect the red wire to one of the wires that fit the positive terminal of the battery. Now fix the fuse with plastic clips, then connect the orange wire to the size wire. Fluorescent lamps connected in this way will turn on immediately after the car's engine starts.
