The principle of operation of an automobile stove: with the help of a pump, antifreeze is chased through the heating system, hot antifreeze enters the stove radiator, and through it the fan drives the heated air into the cabin. Sometimes car owners-craftsmen manage to install a heater from one car on a car of another brand, for example, from ZAZ to GAZ.

Step 1
To convert ZAZ to a GAZ car, carefully study the features of the heaters of these cars.

Structurally, the ZAZ stove consists of two concentric cylindrical chambers: an internal one (the energy carrier burns here) and an external chamber (heated air moves in it, which enters the passenger compartment, moreover, in two directions - to the windshield and to the front of the passenger compartment). The ZAZ heater is provided with a rotary damper. This regulator allows you to switch between the modes of warm air supply: "mode from the passenger compartment" ensures uniform heating of the passenger compartment, "mode from the outside" contributes to optimal heating of the air, preventing it from overheating.

The stoves installed on GAZ cars are distinguished by satisfactory operation, although there are drawbacks, for example, such heaters work too loudly, and also do not provide airflow to the left glass from the driver's side, which is why it fogs up a lot and has to be wiped off. The presence of such shortcomings in GAZ stoves encourages car owners to modify these heaters on their own.
Step 4
So, knowing the features of heaters for ZAZ and GAZ cars, it's time to start the practical part - modernizing the stove. First, change the cross-section of the wire in the candle chain (the actual value of this indicator is 1-1.5 sq. Mm, the recommended value is 3 sq. Mm).
Step 5
To facilitate the control of the ZAZ heater, set a timer that would turn on the gasoline supply after a certain time after turning on the stove. Adjust the heating capacity of the heater. This can be done by installing a solenoid valve that regulates the supply of gasoline.
Step 6
The control element to be installed will be a variable resistor R4, which is placed on the instrument panel. Install the LED signaling the well-coordinated operation of the mechanism in any accessible place, but preferably where it will not distract you with constant blinking.
Step 7
Install the improved ZAZ stove in GAZ.
