The owners of the car of the Zaporozhye plant often face the inconvenience of operation and the frequent failure of the gasoline stove. There is a need to improve this unit using gas as fuel.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a 5-liter Baltika-type gas cylinder, which is used in the kitchen for autonomous gas supply to the stove. Another household bottle will do as well. The main thing is that the thread of the neck is left-handed and coincides with the thread of the gearbox. Place the spare gas bottle (full) in the trunk of the car. Place the working bottle in the passenger compartment, in front of the seat "at the feet" of the front passenger, since at low temperatures the gas practically does not evaporate. The passenger seat will have to be removed. Five liters of gas is enough for 8 hours of continuous operation of the stove.
Step 2
Disconnect the fuel supply pipe from the float chamber. For high performance of the stove, screw the obturator onto the tube, which is a needle with a sharp cone. This allows the gas flow to enter the combustion zone smoothly. The standard throttle hole for supplying fuel to the ZAZ furnace is very small and has a diameter of 0.4 mm, which often leads to clogging of the filter holes. The gas inlet jet is reamed to D1, 2 millimeters. Connect the other end of the hose to the gas cylinder using a fitting.
Step 3
For gas ignition, it is better to use the electric spark method. Make your own ignition device with a multivibrator. This device emits powerful sparks with a frequency of 2-4 times per second, which ignite the fuel even at very low temperatures. Take as a basis an automobile spark plug with M18 * 1.5 MW thread. Remove the metal part from the insulator, leaving the center electrode. Turn the insulator down to a diameter of 17.5 mm. To secure the plug in the socket, it is necessary to use the casing as an evaporator and a copper washer (seal) of the glow plug. Such a candle turns out to be universal for all types of gas ignition devices made according to any scheme. In terms of dimensions, this device should fit into the starter relay housing.
Step 4
Turn off the fuel pump and the shut-off valve, turn on the manufactured device. Only then open the gas supply.
