Russian legislation regulates clear rules for securing the state number plate for all vehicles subject to registration. At the same time, the location and fastening of the state number plate must comply with the requirements of the traffic police. How to fix the license plate correctly?

Instructions
Step 1
Position the license plate along the axis of symmetry of the car or other vehicle. It is allowed to fix the registration number to the left of the axis in the direction of travel.
Step 2
Make sure that the sign is installed perpendicular to the plane of symmetry of the car. A deviation of no more than 3 degrees is allowed.
Step 3
Position the license plate perpendicular to the vehicle's reference plane. A deviation of no more than 5 degrees is allowed.
Step 4
Check that the height of the lower edge of the sign is not less than 300 mm from the reference plane of the machine, and the height of the upper edge is not more than 1200 mm.
Step 5
Make sure that the license plate is visible in the space that is bounded by two vertical and two horizontal planes that touch the edges of the plate within the angles of view.
Step 6
Check that the license plate can be seen from a distance of at least 20 meters at night if it is illuminated with a standard lamp.
Step 7
To secure the license plate, use screws or cap screws that are the same color as the field of the plate. They must not obscure or distort the inscription on the sign.
