Instructions

Step 1

Open the hood. First of all, it is necessary to pump gasoline into the carburetor float chamber. It is very important to have a fuel filter, which, in addition to filtering, can also show the moment when there is already enough gasoline in the carburetor. Pumping is carried out manually using a gas pump, which is located under the distributor breaker. There is a foot on one side. Press it down until gasoline fills most of the filter.

Step 2

Get into the car. If the car has been standing for a long time at a low temperature, it makes sense to warm up the electrolyte of the battery. This can be done with the headlights by turning them on for a few seconds. Next, fully pull out the air damper, which is called "suction" in the jargon of drivers. Squeeze out the clutch. The gearshift lever must be in neutral.

Step 3

Start your car. Do not crank the starter for more than 10 seconds. This will drain the battery. It can also cause a malfunction of the starter. Better start the car on the third try. The first two will warm up the engine. While cranking the starter, depress the accelerator pedal about a third of its travel. After the car starts, you will hear the characteristic sound of high revolutions of the crankshaft. As the machine warms up, start closing the choke. The turnover will start to fall.

Step 4

Monitor the RPM with a tachometer. If you close the throttle immediately, the car will stall. A warmed-up car should keep idling at 700-800 rpm. In this case, the air damper must be completely closed. At the same time, release the clutch smoothly.
