Modern car seat covers undoubtedly make the interior more comfortable and attractive. When purchasing expensive covers, you spend a lot of money, although these accessories can just as well be made by hand. This will require simple materials, tools and the ability to handle a sewing machine.

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare a suitable material for making covers. It can be synthetic or natural dense fabric. If you are concerned about the environment, opt for fabrics made from natural materials, since they are quite breathable (breathable) and do not retain moisture. For exotic lovers, you can suggest using fur. However, all natural materials are inferior to artificial ones in durability.
Step 2
Covers made of artificial (synthetic) materials look more modern. Choose synthetics if you want to ensure the strength of the products and their resistance to external influences. The disadvantage of synthetic covers is that they get too hot in hot weather and don't absorb enough moisture. An intermediate solution is possible when two different sets of covers are used for different climatic conditions or seasons.
Step 3
Prepare patterns for future covers. To do this, take measurements from the seats and transfer the resulting dimensions to graph paper (the newspaper will do the job too). It is best not to measure the seats, but to make a pattern "in place", applying sheets of paper to the elements of the seats. When preparing the patterns, leave a seam allowance of about 1.5-2 cm on each side.
Step 4
Transfer the outlines from the patterns to the material from which you intend to make the covers. If you want to adjust the shape of the seats or make them softer, use a thin foam padding between the seats and the covers. Of course, the foam rubber must first be cut out to fit the size of the cover.
Step 5
Fasten the individual parts of future covers together by stitching on a sewing machine or by hand. Before finally stitching the covers, attach them for trying on the seats, and, if necessary, correct their shape. Now you can sew all the seams on a typewriter and bring the products to full readiness. Remember to clean new covers from time to time, or even wash them if they get too dirty.
