If you are the owner of a Chevrolet Lacetti, and your car's warranty has expired, then sooner or later you will have to change the headlight bulbs yourself. And if in a hatchback the lamps can be changed by just opening the headlight cover, then in a sedan and a station wagon, the headlight must be removed to replace the lamps.
Necessary
10mm open end wrench or tube
Instructions
Step 1
Open the hood and carefully examine the headlamp unit. It is held in place by two bolts and one nut. The headlight is bolted down from the top, and the nut secures the headlight to the body from the inside. Carefully unscrew all fasteners so as not to drop the bolts and nut - they are quite small in size.
Step 2
Remove the headlamp from its seat and open the cover that covers the inside of the headlamp. The cover should be screwed counterclockwise.
Step 3
Fold back the metal spring clip that secures the lamp, and then remove the lamp along with the clamp. Disconnect the lamp from the terminal, and insert a new one into it. Remember that the lamp can only be held by the metal housing.
Step 4
Place the bulb inside the headlamp and fix the spring clip to hold the bulb well in the headlamp housing, then screw the headlamp cover back on. Put the headlamp in place and tighten the bolts and nut.
Step 5
After replacing the lamp, the headlamp light must be corrected. It is better to do it at a special stand. There are two gears on the headlight housing that allow you to adjust the direction of the light flow using a screwdriver.
