Basic parking skills in confined spaces are practiced in driving schools, but it is not so easy to apply them in real conditions. It is most convenient to park in reverse.
Instructions
Step 1
Before reversing parking, make sure that the area between the two parked vehicles is approximately 6 meters. When driving forward, the distance from the right mirror of the car to the entrance to the parking space should be about 20 cm. At the moment when the mirror is in the middle of the parking space, turn the steering wheel to the left, transfer your gaze to the right mirror.
Step 2
In the right mirror, you should see the left headlight of the car parked on the right. Align the wheels of the car at this point. Do not forget that all actions with the steering wheel are carried out in motion. After turning on the reverse speed, when moving backward, look in the right mirror at the same left headlight of the car standing on the right. As soon as the rear wheel approaches the corner of the parked car, turn the steering wheel to the right to go around it, while looking at the left mirror. It is important here not to rush into traffic, so as not to run over a parked car and miss the mark, not fitting into the gate of the parking space.
Step 3
At the moment when the right far corner of the car parked on the left opens in the left mirror, leave the steering wheel in the same position, the right mirror turns on. Estimate the distance on the mirrors to the side of the car parked on the left and right. The distance in the mirror on the left should be less than the same distance to the side of the parked car on the right. At this moment, when starting off, align the wheels, direct your gaze to the central mirror in the car. The only thing left to do is to drive back without running into a fence or bumping into the back wall of the garage. Knowing the dimensions of your own car will help here.
