Step 1
Collect all the necessary papers and certificates that are needed for registration. If you buy your foreign car abroad, you will additionally need a customs certificate, which will be issued to you after verification of the authenticity of the documents provided, confirming your ownership of this car.
Step 2
Take all documents to your area inspector. After reviewing, he will give you an application form, by filling out which you will register. In addition, do not forget to take from him a receipt for payment of the state duty. It can be filled in and paid in almost any payment terminal or at a Sberbank branch. If you do not know how to use the terminal, ask the staff to help you pay.
Step 3
Bring your car to the inspection area. Do not forget to bring all your documents with you. Competent specialists will check your car for everything you need. First of all, they check the braking system, then pay attention to the lights, examine the wheels and other structures. If everything complies with the standards, the car is transferred to a forensic specialist for inspection, who will check your car, determine the exact year of its release, puncture it at the base of theft and, if the result is positive, will put you a signature and a stamp.
Step 4
At the final stage, make the last trip to your inspector. You show him all the completed and confirmed documents. He will carefully check them again and give you a document with which you must go to the passport office. There you will be given a certificate of registration of the car and your license plates, which you just need to install on the car.
