If you are tired of cleaning the Audi carburetor and choosing jets for it, you can install a good injector yourself. If certain requirements are met, this will not be difficult.

Necessary

  • - spanners;
  • - screwdrivers;
  • - drill and drills;
  • - new details.

Instructions

Step 1

Select an injection system and buy the parts you need. A good system is Bosch M 1.4.5, in which there are no neutralizer and oxygen sensors, which meets the modern requirements of toxicity standards. It is not always worth changing the fuel line and the gas tank, but install only an external electric fuel pump and put clamps on all connections through which the fuel passes. This method is used not only in Audi, but also in most foreign cars.

Step 2

Purchase parts that do not often fail on production vehicles. This is a receiver, fuel line, air filter housing, gas tank, intake manifold, etc. Also buy consumables that are sold in the markets. Wash the outside of the vehicle before starting work.

Step 3

Drill holes in the cylinder block. One for mounting the bracket, the other for the knock sensor; also cut the internal threads. All these holes can be already drilled by the manufacturer or there are special drips for them. Check it. For the knock sensor, make a hole 16 mm deep, for the ignition module - 20 mm. Screw in the knock sensor until it stops. Change the coolant outlet.

Step 4

Drain the oil, remove the pallet from the car, timing belt, pulley and replace the oil pump. Then remove the old pulley and install the damper.

Step 5

Remove the battery. After that, disconnect the air filter, distributor, fuel pump, carburetor and manifold, throttle control cables and gas cable, ignition system wiring, switch, coil, fuel pipes, control unit, gas tank and amplifier hose. Also remove the original harness and lay a new one, which has a fuel pump connector.

Step 6

Route the fuel line along the bottom of the body, screw on the fuel hoses and secure the fuel filter. Then install a new gas tank and connect the fuel line. Connect and fasten all the parts together.
