Replacing the ignition switch is made only when a malfunction of its mechanical part appears. In case of problems with the contact group, it is replaced separately, for this you do not need to remove the lock from its place (it is enough to remove the retaining ring at the bottom of the device). But if something in the castle has fallen into disrepair and it has lost its functions, then it still has to be changed.

Instructions
Step 1
Before starting the procedure for removing the ignition switch, the battery is disconnected.
Then, plastic decorative linings are removed from the steering column, after which full access to the lock opens, from which the electrical wiring is disconnected from below.
Step 2
After inserting the key, it turns to the "0" position, and the screw fixing the lock is unscrewed on the side surface of the metal casing with a screwdriver.
Step 3
The lock, released from the fastening, is removed from its place only after the pin is recessed with a screwdriver through the slot in the lower part of the casing.
Step 4
After removing the faulty device and installing a new ignition lock in its place, all further actions are performed in reverse order.
