Step 1
If you bought a car that has just rolled off the assembly line, its registration must begin with checking the correctness of filling in the vehicle passport. In this case, pay special attention to the reconciliation of the numbers of all units that are registered in it.
Step 2
To put the purchased car on record, you will need to prepare a package of necessary documents that will be given to you at the car dealership. You will also need to issue an OSAGO policy. In order not to waste time, you can do this in the same dealership where you purchased the car.
Step 3
Having paid the state duty for registration, you can submit the collected documents for registration of the purchased car. To avoid tedious queues, use the preliminary registration through the Gosuslugi.ru portal.
Step 4
If you purchased a car from hands, then first draw up a sales contract. When purchasing a used car in a car dealership, you will be required to issue a certificate-invoice. Enter all the data of the contract or certificate-account in the vehicle's passport and after the old owner of the car removes it from the register, you can go to the traffic police to register it.
Step 5
To register a supported vehicle, you must be ready to provide such documents as a car passport, your passport, a sales contract or an invoice statement, an OSAGO policy and a receipt for payment of the state duty for registration. In addition to these documents, you will need to provide a copy of the cargo customs declaration to process used cars imported from abroad.
Step 6
If you want to keep the old number, then when registering the car, write an application to the MROE. At the same time, remember that you can leave the previous numbers only if no scuffs, dents, chips and other defects are found on the license plates.
Step 7
Before registering, you will need to go through a car inspection, during which the MREO inspector will have to check the numbers on the engine and the body of the transport for compliance with the numbers prescribed in the passport.
