Step 1
Do a general cleaning of the car. During daily use, a huge amount of unnecessary things accumulate in the car, which add extra weight to the car. Because of this, the load on the suspension increases and the ground clearance decreases.
Step 2
Try not to carry heavy loads with you for a long time, for example, bags of vegetables or a set of old rubber. This negatively affects the springs, they begin to lose their elasticity.

Check suspension performance. Raise the machine with a lift or jack. Examine each rack carefully. A broken spring could cause a sharp decrease in ground clearance.
Step 4
Install spacers that allow the vehicle to be raised. They are usually sold as a kit. Before purchasing, make sure that the spacer kit you are purchasing is designed to fit your Ford Focus vehicle.
Step 5
Remove the wheels. To do this, unscrew all the bolts that secure the hub and disc. Grasp the wheel and pull it towards you. Remove the disc from the hub axles.
Step 6
Remove the bolts holding the rack. Remove it carefully from the groove. Carefully read the instructions that came with the insert kit.
Step 7
Install the inserts and secure them with zip ties or plastic ties.
Step 8
Check the length of the installed springs. Very often, several turns are cut to lower the machine. In this case, it is necessary to purchase and install new springs. Buy only springs of the brand recommended by the manufacturer.
Step 9
After installation, the car may be slightly bumped up for the first time. Do not worry, after two or three days of machine operation, the springs will sag and the ground clearance will decrease.
Step 10
Put on high profile rubber. This will increase the ground clearance by about three to five centimeters. It is also worth considering that the high profile smooths out all the bumps in the road well, so much less pressure is exerted on the suspension.
