Step 1

Now you need to prepare the work surface on which you will be doing the repairs. It is best to use a cloth to avoid damaging the headlight housing and glass. Clean the headlamp from dirt that has accumulated during its operation. Carefully inspect all crevices and protrusions behind which dirt gets clogged. Use soft brushes and a special cleaning agent for cleaning. After that, it is better to replace the fabric so as not to work further in the dirt.
Step 3
Assess the condition of the headlight. You need to understand whether it is worth repairing it or is it better to buy a new one. If the glass is in small cracks or the plastic housing is unusable, then such a headlamp should simply be replaced. Find out the reason for the malfunction. The headlamp lens is highly scratched by external factors, so it should be carefully polished. Stores sell special kits for removing the top layer from the headlight glass.
Step 4
To completely disassemble the headlight, you must remove the glass. It is attached to the body with a sealant. You need to take a hair dryer and gently start heating the edges so that the sealant heats up. Then you need to carefully separate the glass from the case and remove all the old sealant. The headlight is now completely disassembled. In addition to troubleshooting, you can change the style of your headlight. There are many options for change. You can make diode cilia, paint the inside in some color, add additional bulbs. One has only to remember that all your changes must not break the law. For example, the use of red and blue in the front optics for civilian vehicles is prohibited.
Step 5
After all the procedures for the repair and improvement of the headlight, it is necessary to reassemble everything in the reverse order and install it back. Check the functionality of the headlight. Also compare it with the second one. Please note that they should not be different.
