Remove the rims (or complete wheels) and very thoroughly clean them of any dirt using warm water and a vehicle cleaner suitable for your rim type. When cleaning alloy and chrome wheels, avoid products containing ammonia or acetone. Use only a soft, non-scratching surface, sponge or cloth. Do not leave marks and streaks on the disc from the detergent. Do not wash car rims with high pressure water jets. This will damage the coating.
Step 3
Wipe the discs well and let dry completely. Then coat each rim with polish and water repellent. Prepared in this way, they can be stored in the garage without any problems, even at low temperatures.
Step 4
If you wish, use the services of a car service (auto repair shop or auto shop). They will help you not only to "change" your car, but also to pick up wheels, disks or tires for seasonal storage.
